Today we went to Walmart and no one was at the PS3 setup, and I actually got my hands on the controller. Unfortunately, it only played demo movies about games I don't care about- no games to play. But I did find out... the controller feels nice. It's pretty much the same but the bottom shoulder triggers feel natural.
I've touched it. Now I want one. ;D

They had one at the mall the day it came out...I played for about 30 mins they had this motor bike game...it was great. Amazing graphics and beautiful crashes. And I must agree, I do like the controller

I take back that I cursed Walmart. They had the demo for Motorstorm going and no one was playing it. So, I played until my neck got sore from looking up at the screen. It looked awesome and was really fun to play. I was never a big fan of racing games, but I think Jak X has opened my eyes to how fun they can be. Definitely getting this one when I get a PS3. Seems like every racing game likes to slo-mo the car crashes.

Heh, yeah. Bugg hogged the controller so I didn't get to play. Nahh, I saw it and that was enough for me. Wouldn't want to make it too hard to wait until we finally get one. It looked pretty awesome for a racing game. Whenever there was a wreck you would see all the individual parts flying off (and Bugg crashed.....A LOT! ;D). When the car came back it was all clear/wire frame like....probably so you would notice all the detail put into it. What's really cool is that the PS3's potential is probably way better than that. Developers need time to get used to what they can do with the hardware. So, we may not be getting it right away, but there's sure to be some pretty amazing games in the future. Plus.....I want to see the return of the rumble in the controller...which has a very good possibility of happening later on. Only time will tell.....and I can wait.

Well...I just got back form Hobby Lobby, Game Crazy, and GameStop. And guess what? GameStop had a PS3. ;D ;D ;D A 60 Gig too. And guess who's trunk it's sitting in? Only thing is, I'll get it Christmas Eve, not early. At that time I'll be sure to 'report back' here to tell about all the awesome stuff.

I don't get it, why jump for a PS3 now? Resistance is just about the best thing out for it yeah I'm excited to get it, but I guess it may just be me, that I'll wait until at least the summer. Then I'll finally get my hands on Oblivion, it's so much fun, played it on a friend's PC then tried installing it on mine but the game didn't recognize the Intel graphics card so I couldn't run it

Snowman, you mean you actually have to wait for one of your presents?! lol.... How can you even contain yourself. Intel..... sucks....... ass...... (most of the time.) But there's no reason not to get a PS3 yet. Even though there aren't many yet- it can be used for more than just games. There's all those multimedia features they've crammed into it as well as chatting and downloading demos.

well I can realize Intel is bad, except for processors. when I said PC I mean a laptop, meaning my Vaio. But as far as PS3 features are a lot of things I can already do elsewhere, except my PSP would have a lot more use if I had a PS3, especially because of the PSP's 3.02 update

Everyone has their own opinion on electronic brands. But I trust bugg's opinion. She's done a lot of research and is usually right when it comes to that stuff. That's why our desktops kick ass! Hmmm.... I'll be itchin to get a ps3 when assassin's creed comes out (along with a few other games)....I think around march or so. But, I don't know when we'll get one. Seems like a lot of people are waiting for a price drop and I'm sure Sony knows that, too. They shouldn't wait too long since it could mean an increase in sales. It's a pity they didn't have several killer game titles for launch. They probably would've done much better. But it's still an awesome machine for the price. And I can't wait to see what they do with it later on.

There's benefits to waiting to get one- better hardware, more games, less buggy software upgrades, and possibly a price drop. Of course, though, the benefit to getting one now is.... having a damn PS3...now!

There's always updates for software bugs. Well, yeah that's true. But getting it later may make it less of a hassle to update the system. Ya never know! but PS3 now sounds really good...........
