Steve Irwin died today while filming an underwater documentary when a stingray punctured his heart. Gross. It happened somewhere in Australia, but I'm not sure what time.
I say it was coming sooner or later. He's always fooling around with animals that are deadly and I'm not at all surprised it happend. In shock of his death, yes, but I didn't see much time on his clock of life.

Provoking is more of an understatement to me. He wouldn't leave the damn things alone! Had he used his brain and wore something that couldn't be penetrated, this wouldn't have happened. He also could've used more tool with other animals, rather than his bare hands. (But maybe that's why some people liked him so much. I didn't ever really enjoy his show.)

The terrible thing is his wife doesn't know yet. She's off trekking in Tasmania. Although the news might have reached her by now...

Heh. I saw a topic about this on another forum, and I thought the name was familar.... but I didn't pay much attention to it.  Wow... I remember when he was mowing the grass in a giant alligator habitat on his show one time. Now that looked crazy!  But geeez, what a way to go. Well.... now who's gonna go poking at all the animals? |

wow...my mom was just joking about him earlier i wonder if she knew...im gonna go tell her the "crikey!" duy died...  she says, "i know! i heard that!  " whispering of course...since their on a conference call ;.; wow. u know...i always seem to get news last...i wonder y she didnt tell me ;.; o well...at least i got outa work early today ^_^ and i got alot of other stuff done... > : } MUAHAHAHAA.... |

Y'know... that's really got to suck. Imagine the kids growing up, and telling them their dad died from a stingray. Geeez. Well, with the diverse amount of animals he was always poking at, I guess he's lucky he didn't get killed by something like a poisonous roach or something!

What's gross is that the last thing caught on tape was him pulling the stingray's barb out of his chest. After that it was lights out.

Yeah, and I caught the story on the news last night. Getting killed by a stingray is so uncommon..... there isn't even a count of it. Heh, here's this guy that plays with all these dangerous animals that kill people every day, and yet he gets killed by an animal whose attack normally isn't fatal. Isn't that the way things go.

yea. we actually had to write about it today in literature...then i told my friend behind me that he was probably poking the stingray...so the stingray just poked back lol XD

Well, I had the news on and heard this: There's people in Australia (I think) that are killing stingrays (somewhere around 20 of them) for.... revenge that a ray killed him... And Steve's buddy is stating that they should stop because Steve wouldn't have wanted that. What is wrong with people... killing animals isn't really going to do anything, especially carry out any revenge for his death.  |
