I doubt anyone else has noticed this, but Naughty Dog probably named the track the way it is because maybe it sounded better at the time, but if children who play this game use this word, they will not only be grammatically correct, but geographically incorrect!
Forbidden Jungle.
Jungle isn't a real word, yes it is, but it doesn't exactly refer to anything.
The term 'jungle' is of European origin from rainforest epeditions. The actual meaning is the shrubby area along a river in a rainforest. Yet when we use it in everyday life, we refer to said rainforests and tropics as 'jungles'. The only thing is, is that when you are along a shrubby river, it is not a jungle, but a riverbank. So you're not driving through a jungle, just a type of forest. (As it doesn't seem too tropical or rainy.)

hmmmm, not a real word? Just like them dinosaurs weren't real?  (j/k that's an argument for another time) They probably thought 'Forbidden Forest' or 'Forbidden Tropics' just didn't have the same appeal as jungle. People just generally accept the term jungle to refer to a rain forest, even if it isn't entirely correct- just a slang term. Although, that would make the game more interesting for it to have weather options, like rain, lightning, snow, and tornadoes on the tracks... |

jungle is a word..it's slang...right? but "rainforest" is politically correct wat about "dethdrome" wait, i just realized that they probably named it that because G.T.B.'s dad died there! wow! we're getting deep now! XD |

LOL I can only hope for some gian meteors for some real-live BOMBARDMENT!!!!      wow.....that right there is a pretty violent post hmmm.... but interactive environments would've been really cool. "in the rain forest, the mighty rain forest the lion sleeps tonight...."?? that just doesn't have the same ring to it LOL well.. dictionary.com says its a word  but this is a pretty strange definition for it... " Slang. A place where hoboes camp. " hmmmmm....... |

Whoa there, killer... It would be cool to tie in some Jak 3 events- like having Dark Maker ships falling and crashing into the track. Or have random groups of metalheads cross the track or run alongside the cars. Ummm, now I'm getting wayyy off topic...... I remember in Cruisin World exotica that if you drive in India, one of the elephants takes a big, wet, squirty  that gets all over the wind-shield. (If only we had a smiley that licks it's lips. ) |
