yea, it was an 8 Player battle, w/ four ppl, and no one wanted to fight (except me....i wanted to try to die slower than usual ) because we were so worried about the servers...and id never heard of the game until i was looking for online games other than sports (which took me forever...know any good games?)...apparently its the 5th in a series or something...Arc the Lad, Arc the Lad 2, Arc the Lad 3 (i think...maybe not...), Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, and Arc the Lad: End of Darkness...in story/offline mode you play as edda, an exorcist who is trying to rid the world of evil spirits known as Darmists (theyre surrounded by a "dark mist" go figure but they make fun of that in the game... ) or more popularly known as Malademons...so edda becomes a "hunter"...and you rid the world of evil...advancing in the game is simple, slightly repetitive, and sometimes tedious, but the online makes up for it...there mustve been about 35 cooporative missions, varying from soloable ( ) to need-a-full-room-of-4-ppl-able...lol apart from cooporative missions there was "easy task" which had a few of the easiest coop missions to their own missions, player fights which was either 4 or 8 player max, they had their own fields (arenas-if you will), and one other thing...something i obviously never used i think there were...app...30 different characters you could gain in story/offline mode, which made the online so very and wonderfully diverse, though one or two characters had some form of advantage (other than elemental) over all the rest, like they don't flinch when you hit them, and they can hit you when you seem to be in an area they couldnt hit you...they were rare though, no one *except 1 or 2 no-mikers * would use them in a player battle... hope i didnt go too far XD

Wow. Sounds kinda complicated...but fun! It's a shame they had to close the servers.

There is DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) which I highly doubt youd play or go for FFXI (an MMORPG)
or just look at stuff for the computer theres a lot of online games there especially MMORPG's

DDR.... BLAH! that has absolutly no appeal to me.... and neither does FF games. I'm not big on PC gaming (usually when I'm on the computer, I've got some work to do ). I've got PCs that would be pretty good for gaming..... but they're more for video/multimedia designing. I prefer console games.... and there's not many good online games! I'll have do more looking around....hmmmmmm......

Well then one other option is to look into the XBOX but the problem with that is youd have to get the console then pay the online fee

Well Natsume, I watched the video for the last game of Arc, and it had a sad vibe. I hope that when it happens to Jak X, we will have moved on to a better game.

yea...its a hard choice for me...be there and record the last game (depressing), or not be there (possible avoid the depressing-ness of ur last minutes online) and wish u had (really depressing...and ironic) so i figure, hopefully theyll give us a date, and ill prepare for it...

It's so sad to see online games die like that. Hopefully that won't happen to Jak X for awhile... but think of all the sleep you would get then.
