At least, one of the few reasons I bought one was because of the Zelda games- although Windwaker wasn't the mind-blowing graphics I was hoping, you have to admit that the gameplay was solid and movements were fluid.
But my absolute favorite has to be Eternal Darkness...one of the few mature titles for the GC. The graphics were amazing and exactly what I expected from the ATI powered system. The story was dark and unique- usually very hard for modern-day horror games which are limited to zombies and junk. It's also like having three games in one, since you choose the reigning power entity in the beginning and the story goes on about restraining that power with the balance of the other two. So basically, the story has three different routes of gameplay, although they all mirror each other in events and endings.
The coolest feature has to be the 'sanity' meter. This is a meter of your characters sanity and as you encounter monsters you get 'scared' and your sanity lowers. As this meter drops, the game starts messing with your head, like saying your controller isn't plugged in when your character is getting attacked, your gun fails to fire even though you have ammo, monsters "appear" even though they're not there, the game camera tilts at an uneasy angle, and other 'insane' things.

These two are exclusive to the Game Cube, unfortunately. Most of the others are for a younger group and the system lacks more mature titles. And if a game is available for multiple systems, I'd rather get the PS2 version.
