I'd vote.... but I've never had either of them so I honestly can't say! Usually, I'm near a stereo, cd player, or computer, so they take care of all my music playing needs.

I vote iPod. I've used Zens and they're cool, but iPod just rocks. It's sleek, it's the original, it holds so much crap (I use about 1/3 of my 30 gigs, I have Lost and anime episodes on there! ) plus they just lowered the price tag, so now you can get a 80 gig dirt cheap (for a music player ), so now you can get even more space for even less...plus, can you buy DharmaSkin for Zen? No, I didn't think so! iPod always has owned and always will own the digital music player competiton. They hit the market first and they hit it right.

iPods are nice, it's what I first owned, the old 20GB B&W ones, I've had so many issues with it which started to make me hate it. Then my parents got me a new 30GB video just for the hell of it, I never asked for a new one so I handed the old one to my brother. I havent had problems with the video one yet. Still I imagine I will at some point since it is an iPod and I would doubt anyone here uses them as much as I do on a daily basis. And Yet I don't hear near as many problems with the Zen.... So as time progresses Ive kinda been leaning closer and closer to the Zen, so I would give the slight nudge to the Zen but not by much as I found the Zen's interface not too difficult to grasp either. I sorta with the Ipod had radio for it without an attachment like the Zen, that's sorta a setback. And I would love to stray away from itunes for once, it takes so much of your memory usage when it's been open for a long period of time in a quick like manner....

Actually, you don't hear about problems with the zen because not as many people have them. Strange; I use my iPod on a daily basis, and have never had a problem with it at all. And what's the need for a radio? It's hardly ever used. What reason would you have to listen to the radio when you have commercial and static-free music? I've owned an mp3 player that had radio, recorded radio, line-in, and recorded line-in also. Not once did I use either. Why? Maybe because I already had my music on there...which made the radio feature useless. But generic music-player brands like to add it on for a reason: They just want to sell their product for more. Having that extra feature boosts the cost.
I've used generics, zens, and iPods. And by far, Apple gave me what I wanted, unlike the others. When it comes to them, there's just no contest.

I can see that, If I were in the same position where I had everything that I listen to on the radio then I wouldn't need it. But then again I do love to listen for chances to win prizes, ex. concert tickets. I also love to hear of new groups as a local station around here does new music every day, most of which of bands that arent even that popular. In any case, radio isn't so much a need but something, like in my case, would be a nice feature to have. I mean then it'd be there when you want it. If you wouldn't use it then don't, it's just that simple. I've got a large number of friends who own a zen and a different number who own an iPod, but still I've heard more complaints over the iPod then Zen, including my own problems

I was merely explaining why it's pretty much an unuseful feature. If I want to listen to the radio at all, I'll listen to the radio, but not by the piece of crap with a short antennae, more like a stereo, or my car.

I'm sorry there was no intention for an argument. All that I basically said is that there are people to which the feature would be useful to, you aparently not one of them. I got to thinking, you know with how popular the iPod is, even if they included a radio feature built in and bumped the price up 25 dollars max, I still think it would still sell a lot compared to any other player.
*lets not argue over this next statement* like I said I have or had no intention to make an argument but when you make a topic on which is better there's a tendency to happen.

Ummm, wake up. This is an argument. I can't believe you honestly came into this thread and didn't expect one, as that was the entire purpose of making it: for people to argue over which they like better, throwing around opinions, and tabbing the pluses and minuses of each.
